Rest Room Stone & Tile
REST ROOM STONE SURFACE CLEANING
Reason: To clean and disinfect all types of stone from bacteria and germs without burning or etching the stone surface and to prevent biological staining from developing.
Summary: Most disinfectants that are used today contain alkalis, acids, and other ingredients that are detrimental to natural stone surfaces. These elements often cause adverse reactions to the natural minerals in stone, especially because disinfectants must set on the surface for a minimum of five minutes. In this short time frame, most disinfectants will begin to harm the stone after one application. Counterrific™ can be used everyday to disinfect and clean all rest room stone surfaces without harming the stone. Daily use of Counterrific will even prevent the growth of bacteria and mold on the stone.
PROCEDURES:
Spray Cleaning Stone Vanity Tops/Sinks/Showers/Walls:
- Simply spray Counterrific on to the surface and let it stay wet for five minutes.
- Wipe off with a clean and dry paper towel.
- If any streaks appear, simply spray again and wipe off immediately.
RESTROOM GROUT:
- Dust mop area with a clean dust mop.
- Mop CERAMICLEAN on to the surface at six ounces per one gallon of warm water.
- Let it set for two minutes.
- Scrub the surface with a soft bristled brush.
- Immediately extract the solution from the surface with a wet/dry vacuum.
- Lightly mop rinse with CERAMICLEAN.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
- Only use a soft cloth to wipe down vertical and horizontal stone surfaces.
- Always use clean rayon Mops.
- All rest room stone surfaces should be protected with Stone Spray-N-Seal® Penetrating Sealer to prevent the growth of mold and bacteria on the stone surface.
PRECAUTIONS:
- Most rest room cleaners are either acidic or alkali chemicals that contain elements that are hazardous to stone.
